Aston Martin is a British line of sports luxury automobiles. Since the car company was first created in 1913, their mission has always been to create a car of high quality and endurance. Lionel Martin and Robert Bramford began producing the car with the intention to create a sports car that stood out and had it’s own individual style. The automobile manufacturer continues to use the latest technology, resources and engineering facilities to create a car that is durable and well made. High performance Aston Martin vehicles are given the name “Vantage” while the convertibles use the name “Volante”. The “V8″ and “V12″ car models stand out and have their own distinct gas and diesel performance features. Future models that are in development are the “Rapide” which is a long, four door sport saloon, and the “Cignet” which is a micro-car that complies with the European Union’s strict emissions laws.
In 2005, the car manufacturer entered international auto racing with it’s DBR9 model. The automobile company created a new line called Aston Martin Racing and partnered with a company called Prodrive, an automobile and car racing specialist. The DBR9 won its first race at the 12 Hours of Sebring auto race. It won again that same year at Le Mans. The car manufacturer has also created the DBRS9, Vantage N24, The Vantage GT2, the Vantage GT4 for car racing. The sports car company has plans to enter the highest sports racing category, the LeMan’s Prototype category
