Buying our Subaru WRX Wagon with No Credit Check

I live up in the mountains of North Carolina, in the Blue Ridge, and last winter we had more snow than we’ve had in the last two decades.  At least, that’s what the old-timers claim.  In any case, my wife and quickly realized that our two-wheel drive Toyota 4Runner couldn’t cut the mustard in the snow.  We need either a 4×4 or all-wheel drive.  At first, I was set on another Toyota 4Runner, but this time with four-wheel drive.  Then my wife and I were watching TV and saw this Scandinavian rally race going on.  Those guys were driving Mitsubishis and Subarus through the snow at 75+ miles per hour, and we’re talking twisty mountain roads.  The idea of having a car that got better mileage than an SUV, weighed less, and could still perform well in the snow sounded very cool to the both of us.

After some research, we settled on a Subaru WRX wagon.  Like all Subies, it offered all-time all-wheel-drive, and it also came with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that offered great horsepower without being too bad in the MPG department.  Due to some past credit problems, we were going to need to work with a dealer or lender that catered especially to people with blemished credit.  Ultimately, we found a silver WRX wagon on a Buy Here Pay Here lot in the nearby town of Asheville, North Carolina, and fell in love.  We were able to finance the vehicle with no credit check.  I know we’re paying an arm and a leg in terms of interest, but given our credit, I don’t think we really another choice.  Basically, the monthly payments fit our budget just fine, so we’re not too worried.
