Triumph Motorcycles In The Sun
It is a Sunday morning, and the weather is beautiful! The sky is blue, the wind is moving ever so slightly through the trees and there is no rain in sight. The sun is shining and it will be 80 degrees in the mountains today. You have a chance to hop on one of the old Triumph Motorcycles and take it for a ride. In front of you is a Triumph Bonneville, waiting to take you through the mountains on an awesome ride. You have to be more than a motorcycle enthusiast, you have to love Triumphs! What are you waiting for?
The original Triumph Bonneville was a T120 built from 1959 to 1974. Later came the T140, which was the same basic machine, with a bigger engine. The T140V was designed with the larger engine, the five speed gear box and indicators. The design continued with the drum brakes and kick start. The production of the Bonneville ended in 1985. Triumph Motorcycles went through a lot of management and production changes through the years. Just when everyone thought they wouldn’t see the Triumph Bonneville any more, it was recreated. In 2001 the Triumph Bonneville was built in Hinkley England. It was based on the original Bonneville, but much more modern. Once again in 2007, the model was changed. From 2007 and on you will find changes yearly to have a modern bike that also complies with the emission controls.
Today you can walk into the dealer and have several choices of Triumph Motorcycles to pick from. You could choose the America, the Daytona, Rocket III Roadster, the Scrambler, Speed Triple, Speedmaster, Sprint ST, Street Triple, Thruxton, Thunderbird, Tiger and of course the Bonneville. Each model has its own special personality that only a Triumph enthusiast can appreciate.
So, go ahead and skip the Bonneville today! Jump on the Thunderbird and enjoy a ride of a different kind. The Thunderbird is one of the Triumph Motorcycles that received an award for design. It is known as the “Cruiser of the Year” according to the magazine Cycle World. You’ll love taking it through the mountains on the winding roads as it is made to handle curves and the speeds that you know you want to do.
