I bought into the Triumph motorcycles family a long time ago and this year, bowled over by its stripped down looks, I bought a new ‘blazing orange’ Speed Triple that really is made to be seen and heard. I can’t really remember what first got me into bikes at an early age but now I can’t imagine going back to driving a car. My wife does all the car driving these days. There’s no contest for me – firstly, the price of a motorbike is so much lower, yet the fun level is so much higher! Triumph knows bikes, nothing’s so sure.
Triumph motorcycles have that reputation for producing classic, superb quality bikes so I really didn’t think to go anywhere else when I bought mine this year. Mine’s a Tiger 1050, the perfect machine for all sorts of driving. That suits me well, since my commute combines motorway with winding road. The Tiger is an awesome bike, it’s both comfortable and great fun at the same time – not many bikes give you both in equal measure. A good all-purpose machine, the Tiger ticks all the boxes. I went for ‘Fusion white’ and it looks like a real classic in the making.
