Used Audi Across Europe
I have recently completed a trip across Europe which covered most of the countries on mainland Europe. I decided to drive across Europe for 6 months to experience each of the country’s different cultures. I started my 6 month journey from Calais because I wanted to use the Eurotunnel. It was quite a surreal experience but it was easy enough to use. At the time I owned a used Audi A4 which was a fantastic vehicle to drive across Europe, I couldn’t imagine a better car to drive for 6 whole months. France was a nice country in terms of its wine, food and arts but some of the roads were atrocious. This seemed strange though as it cost over 100 euros to travel on the French motorways. As this was fairly expensive I assumed that the roads would be made out of gold but it was actually the opposite, the roads I travelled on had several potholes in them. The weather got better as I drove down towards the south of France. Before I decided to go across the south of France I went to Barcelona which was one of my favourite cities on the trip. I think I liked it so much because of the Gaudi architecture was so apparent which made this city unique compared to other large European cities.
There were several other countries that I went to for example Germany and Switzerland. One thing I noticed about Germany though was the number of new and used Audi vehicles on the road for example the used Audi TT and the used Audi A6 both of which are very different types of vehicles that serve different purposes. I really liked driving on the German motorway because as long as the weather conditions are clear there is no speed limit. This was a fantastic place to drive my used Audi A4. Switzerland had some great roads in the mountains where it was quiet and there weren’t any speed cameras or police officers just waiting to catch you speeding. Switzerland also doesn’t like motorsports in fact they hate them so much and think they are so dangerous that participating in any type of motorsports is forbidden. It seems strange that this is the case considering that most of the F1 drivers are welcomed with open arms into their country and F1 drivers are more than happy to take advantage of their massive tax breaks in Switzerland. Anyhow the landscape is breathtaking as you might expect.
The whole experience was fantastic and I would suggest anyone that enjoys driving and seeing and tasting different cultures to go to Europe. There is so much of it that it will keep you occupied for months. You will get more satisfaction from this holiday than any all inclusive package holiday you may get cheaper from your local travel agent. The car you take is very important certainly in my experience the used Audi A4 that I drove was fantastic and I couldn’t have wished for a better and more comfortable vehicle.
