Used Land Rover

It’s been a tough year for most of us; motorists and members of the car industry alike. For a lot of people, buying a new car is a concept you just put to the back of your mind for the time being. A Used Land Rover has never been a cheap car to buy or run either, but for those you who want or need a Land Rover, but just can’t afford the showroom prices of today, have you tried checking out what buying a used Land Rover could get you?

When most people think of a modern Land Rover, they’re most likely to picture the Range Rover in their minds. As Land Rover’s top model, it’s coveted by families, businessmen and footballers alike. Weird right? Well, not really, considering it’s futuristic styling, its lavish interior, imposing stance and a list of optional extras to make your mouth water, anyone can do anything with it. How much does it cost brand new?

Well, more or less anywhere upwards of £65,000. That’s a lot of money, but if you can’t resist the 4.4litre V8, or even still, the 5.0 supercharged V8 in the Range Rover Sport, try looking for used Land Rover Range Rovers. Find yourself a one year old model with 10,000 miles on the clock and you might just safe yourself a good £15,000 off of the showroom prices. Find yourself a three year old model and you might be able to steal yourself a bargain at £30,000. Of course, these beasts do cost a lot to keep on the road with increased tax, running costs, maintenance costs and insurance. But if it’s a Range Rover you want, can you see the benefits?

Another popular model of Land Rover’s is the Used Land Rover Discovery. Smaller, lighter and more agile, this model is certainly cheaper, but by no means second best. It’s still got those token ‘modern’ looks, the luxurious interior and another list of optional extras and gadgets to keep you occupied for a long, long time. The same 4.4litre V8 petrol engine used in the Range Rover is also available in the Discovery, but the Discovery’s lighter frame makes for much nipper performance n the road.

These particular models are popular with the families, as they’re spacious, comfortable, yet tick all the right boxes for family motoring. The cost isn’t that bad either – around £35,000 for a top-spec one year old model with 7,000 miles on the clock. Better still, if you increase the age to three years, the mileage to 35,000 and shorten the list of gadgets, you might just be able to snap yourself up one of these for £13,000.
