Sometimes homes are abandoned, things are accidentally left behind or things are captured from non-law abiding individuals. All this is what adds up to the things that come to the hands of the police. If they were to simply put these things in storage, they would have warehouses and warehouses of items. Instead of accumulating all these things they are sold at auctions for low prices.
Buying seized goods from the police is not very difficult. All you actually need to do is know when things are to be sold, know what is being sold and buy it. Simple isn’t it…?
Well the trick is this. Knowing when things are to be sold is a little bit tricky. Sometimes police departments announce their impound car auctions and sometimes they do not. So the first thing to do is to keep your eyes open for ads in your local newspapers announcing such things. If not you can try and get the dates for the auctions directly at the police department.
After you have some dates it will serve you well to find out exactly what will be up for sale at the event. Although police auctions and other government auctions are most common for cars and real estate, there is a whole lot of other things. Clothes, shoes, bags, computers and other electronic gadgets are only some of the seized goods you can buy. Get a list or record of all the items being sold so you know what choices you have. It will also be good if you can take an actual look as some auctions have pre-inspections or viewings available before the event itself.
Finally, you can go to the auction to purchase the item you want or if it is online you can log in and start your bidding. Like any other auction you may attend you need to have the right information, and a good bidding plan to ensure you win. The golden rule is to stick to the price that you decided to pay no matter what.
